Makes me wonder….

So Cameroonian photographer Mario Epanya went all out in his campaign to make Vogue Africa a reality. Condé Nast(global publisher) said NO to an African license of VOGUE…apparantly no one  would buy Vogue Africa…..

I’m completely speechless, because the reasons as to why the whole project was crapped is bull…

It’s infuriating, as a young woman i love magazine and vogue is my monthly read. But do you know how frustrated i get when they are beauty spreads and I really like the look but it won’t suit me because I have dark skin??? Or there’s a hairstyle that i absolutely love but can’t recreate because i have kinky hair??? Do they know that the average black woman(in Britain) spends more than £5000 on her personal needs,  (obviously not everyone will be able to afford Vogue Africa in some parts of Africa- i get that) per year( I’m sure i spend more but then i have issues), surely A MAGAZINE that uplifts and appreciates black beauty would fly off the shelves. And who says that only black women/people will buy Vogue Africa. I would’ve replaced mu entire wallpaper with spreads from that magazine but ohh well their loss…….

But anyhoo here’s some would be covers or let’s say ‘what if covers’

               ME NO UNDERSTAND!
