Another Week, More Things To Do

I broke my camera, I can't get any pictures on my laptop :(
Slightly peeved off but hey, things happen.
I know i havent been posting but I've been sooo busy. We officially started filming a couple of days ago, it's funny when you see these movies you don't think about all the hard work that's going into film making. There's a lot of waiting around and a lot of re-takes, daaamn! But luckily everyone is on the same page and we're all getting along so far.  I may upload some Behind The Scenes photos, but they will majorly illustrate us waiting and laying about :) But for now until i sort this camera out i grace you with me face. Also the title name of this post is Naff, i literally couldn't think of anything better.

5 Facts Of The Week

1. Finding somewhere to live in Berlin is giving me a headache
2.Rioters are/were pointless and so is David Starkey!
3. I'm extremely excited about the next few weeks. I'm off to London to shoot a short movie!
4.I added more blond to my hair, I like it.
5. I'm happy...I think. Well for now, lets see how long that's going to last.

*Also I'll try and document the movie making, should be interesting, not my first time on a set but the first time I'll attempt to smuggle a camera in. I joke.*

Since i' moving I'm saving every penny, but i didn't want to miss out on the arty rings, so I came across a good replica on eBay and here it is. It's lovely and the white goes so well with my skin tone :)

Ansonsten ist alles klaro im Schlummerland, alles noch beim alten, nur ich werde halt älter...

BLEACH Hair Salon.

As you all know, I'd been looking to dip-dye my hair for some time before I finally did it last month.
(It's not as dark as I would like, but that's another story..)

Before I did my hair, I scoured the internet for pictures to pinpoint exactly what I wanted.
Because they were mentioned in so many magazines, and had loyal celebrity clients such as Pixie Geldof, Sienna Miller and Alice Dellal, my first stop was Bleach London's Tumblr site.
Ever since, I've been visiting the site non-stop looking at pictures of their work, and their quirky inspiration pictures.
It is amazing, and well worth checking out here.

Originally located in Dalston, Bleach now has another salon in Topshop, Oxford St.  With colours like "Cheeky Vimto", "Berocca Rinse" and "De Ja Blue" on offer, Bleach (which was named after the Nirvana album), certainly boasts originality above all else.
With colour from just £50, out-of-this-world results and a trip to London already booked for next month, I could definitely be tempted..

Call me boring, but this one on the left is definitely my favourite.

Please note: I do not own any of these photos. All of them were taken from http://bleachlondon.co.uk

FARIS BADWAN; A Male Style Post.

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to get to go to Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, where I saw bands such as Foals, Metronomy, Pulp and Yuck.  Though all the bands I saw were amazing (minus the Pretty Reckless, which I won't get into now), the one band who really stood out to me in a fashion sense, and who have done for the past few years, were The Horrors.
(Faris came on stage with a cup of tea rather than alcohol.  Who else could pull this off?)

I've been a fan of The Horrors for quite some time now, and it was great to finally get to see them live.  While most of the other bands appeared on stage in a rocker-esque shirt or jeans, frontman Faris Badwan and his bandmates really took it to the next level, as always.

For this post, I'm going to focus on the constant sense of style possessed by Mr. Faris Badwan, formerly known as Faris Rotter, and the main characteristics of his look.

#1; Insanely Skinny Jeans.

I know that a lot of girls don't like a guy in drainpipes, but I have to admit that I am quite the opposite of this, as I love a guy in skin tight jeans.  Faris doesn't leave much to the imagination with his jeans, which he completely pulls off, as his legs are so long and skinny (bearing in mind, Faris is about 6'5")

#2; Winklepickers.

There's nothing like a smart, pointed men's dress shoe, and Faris Badwan knows this better than anybody.  The combination of his jeans and footwear is a perfect one, and Faris seems to don this look at every occasion.

Paolo Vandini winklepickers (as worn by Faris)

#3; Black, Black, Black.

I think it's fair to say that Faris rarely ventures outside of his signature black monotone unless it's to add in a little bit of grey, though I do remember him having a great red leather jacket at one stage.  Personally, black is probably my favourite colour to wear, and I sometimes have to stop myself buying more.  I think black is a really easy colour to pull off, and it's also very flattering.

#4; Big Hair.

When I saw Faris in person, it seemed to me that he had quite a small face.  In reality though, I think it's just that he has quite big hair which seems to dwarf his face.  Faris' hair hasn't changed much since The Horrors began, perhaps because it's what suits him best.

Faris as an Inspiration;

Ever since I saw Faris, all I've wanted to wear is black.  I've wanted to drop five stone and sprout a pair of legs which resemble beanpoles, and I've wanted to backcomb the hell out of my hair.
I think the reason that I am inspired by Faris is because he is so different from many of the other frontmen of the bands I listen to on a daily basis.  Faris' look embodies the very essence of The Horrors' music.

I shall leave you with the famous horse *geek fest over*
Ps: I find afternoons like that so chilled, I rather go to museums, art galleries than clubs or so. ( also if you’re into fashion you must go to the V&A, last time I went there there was this exhibition about designer fashion through the years. I died.) I’m a massive geek and I just love getting cultured, well after shopping & make up of course… Also I must say that I'm so thankful, seriously everyone who's following me, Virtual big hug and XXXXXX
